Legal had always been an excellent experience. We had been away from it for a number of years, but starting 2 years ago, we became a frequent visitor again.I have experienced many of the other locations, and found them to be above most other restaurants. Favorite is the Chestnut Hill location. This has always been a dingin pleasure.
This time out of town visitors happened to be staying in the Copley Square area, so we chose 100 Huntington Ave. The hostess decided to place us out in the corridor of the shopping mall which was not the atmosphere that we were looking for. Of course given the crowded environment within the restaurant with little or no ambiance, it was probably a better choice.
The food was as usual excellent, but we have noticed that the prices have been inching upward. If you want to considerate this as a family type of outing, be ready to fork over a few dollars more than in the past.
From the Scampi to the Seafood Ravioli, from the Sauteed Sole (watch out for the butter) to the swordfish you can't go wrong. One hint: Try the Lump Crab Dip to begin the meal. It is a very lite and tasteful way to start an evening of dining pleaseure.
